Speaking of Parties . . . .

I have been having a blast getting to known a lot of bloggers participating in 5 Minutes For Mom's Ultimate Blog party!!

Speaking of parties, I have a quick favor to ask. My husband and I are excited to be going to a progressive dinner this Friday night (for those of you who don't know, a progressive dinner is a dinner party that is split up among different houses: for example, appetizers at one house, dinner at different house, dessert at yet another house). I think it's going to be a blast.

Here's where I need your help. . . I'm supposed to bring an appetizer and I am totally out of ideas. (I don't suppose the guests would appreciate my trademark chicken nuggets a la toothpicks)

What are your favorite party appetizers? Do you have a great recipe? Share the info below and I'll feature my favorite recipe here on my blog.

  1. Hey, found your blog on MBC, love it! I'm following you now. It's not very fancy, but one appetizer I love! is plain wheat thin crackers, covered with a cream cheese spread of cream cheese, shredded carrots, very tiny green onions, and shredded radishes. Really easy- that's what I like, but it tastes great too!

  5. Found you through the UBP! Progressive dinner party huh? Wow! That's quite a few people that are going to be worried about spotless houses...but it sounds interesting! Not sure if you've heard of it but I saw a "buffalo chicken" dip somewhere in the last few weeks that sounded awesome!!

  8. Hi Sarah. Thanks for dropping by from UBP! I like your theme. Appetizers..hmmm. You know I've never been a big appetizer fan. Crackers and cheese with apples or pears suits me just fine. Anything more and it's too much.

  9. First of all I just LOVE your blog layout! you must be a very techy person. I married one but he is also really busy so I only get a little help from him. As far as an appetizer...let me think...how about an easy fruit dip. You just need cream cheese, marshmellow cream, and what ever jello packet you want. I usually use strawberry cuz I like pink. But it would work with any flavor to make the color you want. Good Luck!

  11. I personally favor something like chips & spinach dip- simple, but one that everyone seems to like. Good luck with the party! :)

  12. OK - another party goer - seriously - I would be making Pioneer Woman's bacon cracker thingys. You take those Club crackers in the green box, wrap a slice of bacon around them and bake until those piggies are crisp! Mmm... good stuff maynard.
