Ok, I'll admit it. I was one of those junior high girls who watched Titanic in the theaters three times when it originally came out, and as much as I'm ashamed to admit it, my friends and I even jumped into a freezing cold swimming pool just to pretend that we were like Jack and Rose. Something about the beauty and the tragedy of the Titanic keeps drawing our attention decades after the disaster occurred.
This new love story by Tricia Goyer takes place on that fated ship. Amelia Gladstone boards the Titanic with dreams of a new life in America with her Aunt Neda and with plans to meet a potential beau, Mr. Chapman, once they arrive in New York. After an encounter with a haggard-looking stowaway, Quentin Walpole, Amelia shares her extra ticket for passage aboard the great ship, giving him a second chance at a new life in America.
Also aboard the ship are Quentin's estranged family - his brother Damien, and his father, a railroad tycoon, Clarence. Both brothers are drawn to Amelia's kind heart and beauty. Which brother will capture her heart? What will happen once tragedy strikes the ship?
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. As a mom, it's always nice to have a book to escape into for a few hours at the end of a busy day - this is a great one to choose. I easily imagined that I was right there alongside Amelia, exploring the wonders of the grand ship. The plot kept me interested, and even thought I knew that the ship would eventually meet a tragic end, I desperately wanted to know what would happen to the characters that I grew to care about. All in all, it was a pleasant read. Great for a long weekend or a summer break.

I received a complimentary copy of the book from Litfuse Publicity to facilitate my review. The opinions expressed are my honest thoughts of the novel.
I just finished this book and loved it, there is something so magical about reading about the Titantic, the hopes and dreams that people wanted but in the end the equality it brought to others, though on the flip side any book about the Titantic is sure to bring tragedy. Either way, great review and I can't wait to read more from Tricia Goyer :)
